Our Attraction is Alcohol Free!!

If you or you’re friends bring alcohol to The Haunt on KL, we will ask you to leave and may call the Kalamazoo County Sheriff’s Department if you appear to be underage.

If you are visibly intoxicated, we reserve the right to ask you to leave the premises.

Disorderly Conduct

If you or your group becomes disorderly or becomes a problem for other patrons, we reserve the right to ask you to leave the premises. We have an obligation to the public and the surrounding neighbors to make sure this is a safe and problem-free event.

Dress Code

Everyone to participates in our event should be dressed appropriately for fall weather and we reserve the right to ask you or your group to leave the premises if we determine you dressed inappropriately for our event.  This includes wearing flip-flops and sandals as we are walking you through a forest, not a paved trail.

Parking

We will provide parking attendants but expect that you will abide by their directions and maintain a flow of traffic in and out of the event. We reserve the right to two any automobile that is parked inappropriately or has left their vehicle overnight. This will be at your expense.

Security

We will provide a minimum of six (6) security personnel for your safety.  However, no one can guarantee your safety and you need to remain vigilant and assist our staff if anyone appears to be in danger or needs assistance. We will have all-terrain vehicles and golf carts to assist in this effort.

Americans With Disabilities Act (ADA)

It is our full intent to provide an attraction that is barrier free and accessible for those with disabilities.  However, we have limited resources and the trail through the forest will be difficult terrain for those in wheelchairs.  We will have golf carts available that may provide access to the attraction.

Lighting

We will provide minimal lighting for the parking area and expect that all patrons will carefully traverse the parking area while getting to the event. You must be aware of all open and obvious holes and obstacles, even if it is dark.  We will also have emergency lighting available in the forest if necessary.

Refreshments

The only refreshments that will be offered is bottled water for the 2009 season.

Hours of Operation:

We must strictly adhere to the hours of operation and close the event at 10:00 p.m.  This is necessary to maintain the neighborhood peace and to make sure that everyone is out of the attraction and off the premises by 11:00 p.m.  Please cooperate with our staff if you are asked to leave.

Traffic on KL Avenue

We are prohibited from stacking traffic on KL Avenue. Therefore, we will be asking every patron to make an effort to enter the property as quickly as possible to avoid any traffic congestion.  This could cause us to lose our approval and ask for the cooperation from our valued guests. This includes leaving the premises as well.

No Weapons or Lighters of Any Kind

We reserve the right to search any bags brought with you to the event, including a check of your pockets and jackets. This is to ensure that no one brings any weapons of any kind into our attraction. We will also strictly enforce no lighters in the event as we are a forest…you do the math.  We ask for your cooperation and that you leave these items in your vehicle securely locked.

Lock Your Vehicle

We are not responsible for any lost or stolen items in your vehicle and we suggest that you not leave anything valuable in plain site.

Restrooms and Garbage

We will provide portable toilets for your convenience and ask that you respect these facilities.  If there is a problem with any of these, please let an attendant know immediately so that it can be remedied.  The same with garbage as we ask for your cooperation in disposing of your garbage in our designated areas.  Please keep in mind that urinating in public is a crime in Kalamazoo County and will be enforced by the Kalamazoo County Sheriff’s Department.

Oshtemo Township Noise Ordinance

We are required to comply with the Oshtemo Township Noise Ordinance and if you have a complaint in this respect, please notify an official at the event.
